In this contribution an analysis of more than 120 recoveries of birds, ringed in Ukraine and abroad and belonging to the near Danube region is given. There traced geographical links of some waterbird species during seasonal migrations and wintering. Migratory routes of certain species link the near Danube area with the following continents, geographical regions and countries: Great While Egret Egretta alba L. - with the south of Europe (Greece), Glossy Ibis Plegculis falcinellus L. - with Africa (see the table), Greylag Goose Anser anser L. - with the Black Sea area, Mallard Anas platyrhynchos L. - with the North Siberia and Italy (see the table), Gadwall Anas strepera L. - with the North Siberia and South Europe, Teal Anas crecca L - with North and Central Europe (see the table), Garganey Anas querquedula L. - with the most regions of Europe and Africa (see the table), Pochard Aythya ferina L .-with Western Europe, Ukraine and Russia (see the table), Ferruginous Duck Aythya nyroca Guld. - with the north-west of the Black Sea area, Tufted Duck Aythya fuligula L . - with Switzerland and other countries of West Europe (see the table), Yellow-legged Gull Larus cachinnans Pall.- with the Azov-Black Sea coastline, Black-headed Gull Larus ridibundus L . - with countries of Scandinavia and Baltic area, Central and South Europe, Caspian Tern Hydroprogne caspia Pall. - with Sweden, Finland and Baltic countries. The results of analysis show that many bird species of wetland complex use the near Danube water bodies out of breeding period to restore energy during migration in South and West Europe, countries of Mediterranean area and Africa. Thus there is underlined significance of the near Danube water bodies for bird conservation along the African-Eurasian migratory route.
