The paper presents the results of researches for the period from 2000 to 2018, which were conducted on the territory of Belotserkovsky district, in particular, in forests of various types, meadows, fields, marshes, reservoirs, river valleys and settlements. Special attention was paid to rare species that are listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine, in particular, 2 nesting, 5 potentially nesting and 17 migratory species were identified. Most species occur during migrations. It is established that the valley of the river Ros between the villages of Shkarovka and Klochka is characterized by the great species richness. It underlines the availability of favorable feeding grounds and suitable biotopes for stopovers of rare species during migration. 14 species have been registered here. For the first time, the species composition of rare birds has been determined for this region.
