Spoonbill in the Ukrainian part of the Danube Delta

Data on breeding ecology of Spoonbill were collected in 1976-1979. Clutch size (181 nests, 599 eggs), breeding success (142 nests, 352 fledglings) and postembryonic development of chicks (n=68) are discussed. Distribution of Spoonbill in Zhebriyanskie Plavni, on the Limba and KugurluiLakes is considered. Results of ringing (675 birds ringed) and neck banding (41 birds) are given.
