Birds of Sukhoi Liman in autumn and winter seasons of 2013-2014.

A total of 35 bird species were recorded during 3 counts conducted in autumn and winter seasons, among them 16 are waterbird species. The total number of waterbirds recorded during the counts is 14667 individuals: in October 2013 there were counted 2622 birds, in December 2013 – 5066 birds and in January 2014 – 6979 birds. The most numerous species was Fulica atra (60.3% of all counted waterbirds). Common species were Larus ridibundus (17.6%), Larus cachinnans (6.1%), Larus canus (5.1%), Anas platyrhynchos (4.4%) and Cygnus olor (2.3%), Phalacrocorax carbo (1.7%).
