The postembryonic development of the Red-backed Shrike nestlings was studied. It is proved that the nestlings aged from 1 to 11 days clearly differentiated in 2 large and 6 small groups by the linear size of 17 morphometric characters. It is shown that the nestlings of these groups differ in the age, linear size, body proportions and allometric growth of the characters. It is offered to provide 3 stages, several stadiums and two critical phases of the development in the conventional nest period of the Red-backed Shrike.
