Descriptions of encounters of the Spectacled form of the White-chinned Petrel (Procellaria aequinoctialis conspicillata) in February 1998 in shelf waters of South-Eastern Brazil are given. Distances between the observation points and the nesting grounds of this form on InaccessibleIsland in the Tristan da Cunha group are calculated.
