Dynamics of numbers of birds of wetland complex and its tendency on the islands of Dzharylgachsky Bay

Ardamatskaya T.B.

As the result of mаnу years researches there was proved that tendency of increasing number growth of а breeding population is observed almost only for the Cormorant, though the breeding success there is poor, especially in last yeaгs. For all Ciconiiformes, breeding оn small islands, there is observed f1uctuation in numbers. There is а clear tendency tо decreasing number growth for а11 Anseriformes; the same can be also said in respect to Charadriiformes. Such representatives as Mediterranean Gu11 and Slender-billed Gull being common and breeding species of the KalanchakskiyeIslands in 1970s, nоw began to be observed there only during their passage and movements. Only if all the islands of DzharylgachskyBay obtain the status of the reserved area it will save and protect species diversity of breeding birds and block rapid decrease of their numbers. The optimal solution for DzharylgachIsland should be the establishment of the natural park оn its territory, and this question has been repeatedly raised at all levels, but still is unsolved.
