During the period from 1985 to 1996 a total of 121 753 birds were ringed by the Azov-Black Sea Ornithological station including 10 138 cormorants, 3 999 herons, 27 463 gulls and terns. Most of these birds were ringed as chicks in Zaporozhie region (spits and islands of the Molochniy Liman, spits of Berdyansk and Obitochnaya), Kherson region and in the Crimea (Chongar, Koyanly islands). In this paper we start to publish information about available recoveries (the regional database of ringing recoveries). The data are grouped by species and ringing places and information is given in the following order: ring number, age, date of ringing, coordinates of ringing place, place of recovery and its coordinates, date of recovery, additional notes.
