Some notes on the 24 hours’ activity pattern of Grey Heron in the Severski Donets valley

‘‘Day-time’’ (from 4 to 22 h) and “night-time’’ (from 22 to 4 h) periods of activity are distinguished. Two peaks ofactivity are found in the day-time period: in the morning from 4 to 10 h and in the evening from 16 to 22 h. Hot and rainy weather strongly influences activity pattern of Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea); the activity may decrease to the zero level.
