About restoration of the Ruddy Shelduck in Ukraine

The Ruddy Shelduck population in Ukraine is estimated in 1250 individuals. The specialists of Askania-Nova reserve are engaged in breeding of this species in semifree maintenance. For restoration of numbers of the Ruddy Shelduck population the reserve has possibility to supply for natural incubation more than 300 eggs.
